Since I started writing this blog the other day I have been searching the web for more and more inspirational blogs to read and follow. Halfway through my search I came across this website called Bloglovin.com

Why haven't I discovered this before?!

It's a really cool setup that lets you enter your interests and save blog titles to follow from day-to-day. I found one called The Crafting Chicks (www.thecraftingchicks.com) that is amazing! There are so many projects that I already want to make right now! I am adding this one to my list of favourite blogs :-)

Summer Bangles!

I couldn't help but make a flowery bangle ready for summer :-) I made it using a Vintaj violet sprig finding and filled it with tiny little teal green seed beads, then closed the bangle with a gorgeous green glass swirly bead with Vintaj bead caps. I love it, it was so much fun to make!

I am growing really really addicted to Vintaj findings, and its become a daily routine to surf through the gallery on the Vintaj site everyday for inspiration (www.vintaj.com/gallery). There are some really amazing pieces on the site; my favourite is this ring made by Jess Italia Lincoln:

It is so dainty and delicate. She is so talented. <3

Happy Jubilee!

This is the Winchester Rock Choir singing on Sunday as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I LOVE Winchester, there were so many crafty stalls down the high street selling cute trinkets and lots of vintage things. At the end of the street they had a party with Pimm's cocktails, scones and jam <3 My fave moment of the day was when the choir sang with the mayor and broke out in to Rule Britannia, complete with waving union jacks and the entire street singing along with them!

 Happy Jubilee  :-)

Monday June 4th - 2012

So, in hopes that the sunshine is not so far away I've made my first Pandora-style charm bracelet! Hoorah for summertime! I got these really cool pandora-style beads off the Manchester Bead Shop website (www.the-beadshop.co.uk). I'm not so keen on the usual silver snake chain bracelet I've seen them on, so I made a simple waxed cotton cord bracelet to go with them instead with a flat clasp so that the beads can slide on and off easily.

I am going to be keeping my eye out now for some new additions!! Now I can mix and match the beads AND can mix and match the cord bracelets as well (I am going to make a navy blue one to make it look a bit more nautical and a pink cord version too that I can match with a flowery silver bead! Ooh the possibilities are endless! :-).

These are my favourite two beads, I really like the red and white stripes and I love the cute starfish. All I need now is a blue bead and I am set for the Jubilee! :-D
